Scottish born, Lesley spent her childhood in various parts of England and settled in the Yorkshire dales before eventually returned to Scotland in 2000.  She currently lives in Alyth, Perthshire with her partner Jonathan Mitchell a professional painter known for his stunning work in oil. They have a studio at home and a workshop nearby for the messy tasks such as glass, woodworking etc.  Lesley has had a life-long passion for horses, dogs, wildlife and the outdoors which she tries to reflect in her artwork, both paintings and glass.

Originally studying Business and working full time for the NHS, careers services and various posts involving event planning Lesley has put these skills to good use whilst running a livery and competition yard, organising large scale equestrian shows, was Secretary of a local art group for 7 years and is now in year 3 of organising a multi platform 3 day festival of art, heritage, music and outdoors – Alyth Creates. She has had a 10 year love affair with rural France, visiting every summer to cycle with her partner and work on their old barn conversion project which may eventually become home…
