About
STATEMENT
'The desire to be noticed whilst concurrently blending in quietly within society - I am that artist.
Living in rural Scotland, my creative impulse is fed by everything around me. I’m an observer of the seasons, a gatherer of objects and a champion of traditional craftmanship. I look for ways to incorporate old methods within contemporary artforms.
Unbound by the constraints of one medium or subject matter, I may push beyond the traditional dramatic landscape painting by incorporating it in another artwork. Ultimately my work tells a story.'

BIOG
Lesley is an artist who was first introduced to stained glass in the late 80's, attended pastel workshops following a move to Scotland and has subsequently had successful open studio events, solo and group shows. Her work ranges from detailed landscapes in pastel or oil to stained glass panels, fused glass vessels, sculpture and public art.
Leisure interests have paved the path of creativity - for 30 years Lesley spent all spare time with her horses, unconsciously gathering inspiration in remote areas accessible only by horse or on foot. Her creative process often starts with a word or phrase written on an old envelope, by passing moments in time, inspired by outdoors, travel or the current political agenda.
Currently undertaking an MA in Creative Practice (Make Happen Institute via Plymouth Marjon University) 2026
